TMZ reports that Karen's car hit a median and a crosswalk sign at an intersection before continuing to drive and eventually hitting a parking sign. The impact caused significant damage to her Maserati, which had to be towed away.

The recent passing of her mother and the approaching Mother's Day had caused her to experience waves of grief, which she described as feeling like a tsunami.
